thirsty thursday: sauza sparkling watermelon margarita

Sauza Watermelon 1

Last minute entertaining can be a hassle, especially in the summer. If I’m at my apartment, chances are I’m wearing an XXL tank or norts with my hair pulled on top of my head in a bun. Not exactly ready to dazzle with my hostess skills, one could say. Or for that matter, willing to abandon my cool, air conditioned room. Inevitably, people will swing by on a whim and you have to be ready. Your outfit might say “I just binge watched Orange Is The New Black and have not looked away from my screen in hours” but your cocktail doesn’t have to divulge its dirty little secret: you simply poured over ice and served. Shhhh! I promise I won’t tell if you won’t!

Sauza’s Sparkling Watermelon Margarita is refreshingly tart, which came as a pleasant shock to me because I expected it to be on the sweeter side. If you are looking to throw a simple, low key fiesta, this is the cocktail for you! Simply pour directly from the bottle over ice in rocks glasses and garnish with a lime if desired. To add to your fiesta, serve Trader Joe’s Reduced Guilt Guacamole and various tortilla chips. You are ready in minutes, which means more time to battle with your humidity-defeated mane!
