Thirsty Thursday: Rosé Sangria

It’s a crime if you don’t drink sangria in the summertime. In DC, my favorite places for sangria have to be Chef Geoff’s and Cava Mezze, there is just something so peaceful and refreshing about sipping sangria and gabbing with friends in those lazy, hazy crazy days of summer.

Last weekend, I spent a wonderful early Sunday afternoon catching up with Pure Barre besties (I love alliteration) at Cava. I am going to go waaaaayyy off topic right now but we seriously need to discuss their Crazy Feta. It’s crazy how much I cannot get enough of it. I think it’s the jalapeños. Crazy Feta + warm pita slices + sangria + awesome friends = Sunday Funday at its finest.

I opted for the peach mimosa but I’ll be honest: I was seriously eyeing up my friends’ peach sangrias. Which led me to later making a big pitcher of sangria as one does when one should really be doing laundry. Ladies, am I right? Show of hands.

This recipe for rosé sangria is so simple and can be made in a big batch for a party. Or you know, for a dinner for one like I did last night when it was too humid to even think about cooking. The frozen peach slices totally count as a serving of fruit. It’s healthy, trust me.
