Airport Musings

I’m probably one of the few people who actually doesn’t mind the airport. Granted, I could live with faster WiFi right now but que sera, sera. It usually takes me longer to get to the airport than the time I actually spend at the place. But I like using those extra hours to hunker down next to an outlet and get some work done or to stretch out, casually flip through some magazines and do some good ol’ fashioned people watching.

The only time I really get to read magazines is when I travel or am on vacation. Aside from that, any magazine I purchase largely gets ignored (proof: the Living magazine pictured above is probably 2 months old) but I love checking out the glossy images, circling and starring inspiration for future blog posts.

I have a theory about why I’m scary (to me) productive at airports so just hear me out. I’ve always done my best work under a deadline. If I’m told I absolutely must stop working on a project in an hour/in a day etc, I get an adrenaline rush and hammer out my project. When I arrive at the airport and get through security, the countdown is on until I have to board the plane. Anything I don’t finish will take away from precious vacation minutes. God forbid that should happen. So I bury myself into my laptop, notebooks and #GSD.

Like this here little baby blog post for instance.

I’m sorry, that was the Chipotle talking.

Moving on. Nothing left to see here, folks.

I am over the moon excited to go home to Buffalo for the long weekend to decompress and come back fresh with new posts for you. Get ready for some outfit shots with beautiful architecture that only the Queen City can provide. For you foodies, expect nonstop food porn on my Instagram this weekend. I’ll be rolling back to DC rocking elastic waistbands.

See you on Monday!

P.S. Any Buffalo gals reading this? Say hi!
