Hello, it’s Me

Oh hey, I’m back! I feel like I’ve had to write this post a couple of times at this point and to be honest, I really hate feeling like I’m neglecting my blog and you, my readers. Creating content and writing posts is part of my routine and in the last few weeks, I’ve felt just off not posting here on my blog, Instagram, Twitter. It’s been radio silence except for Snapchat (👻: Lauren_Anne2989) and it’s driving me crazy. Normally, my routine is working a 40-45 hour work week and then going to barre or a happy hour and then come home to make dinner (I can’t get enough of zucchini noodles with pesto lately), write posts, edit photos, schedule tweets, update my editorial calendar and respond to emails. Usually with Parks and Rec on in the background because if anyone’s going to inspire you to GSD, it’s Leslie Knope. From the Parks Department.

I felt like I was barely in DC last month between Utah and Arizona. And then I got back to DC and felt like I was getting back into the swing of things when BAM! Woke up with an awful cold and was in bed forever (read: 5 days) living off DayQuil/NyQuil and matzoh ball soup. I couldn’t tell you the last time I slept that much. I’m still getting over the cold but this weekend I finally got back to shooting outfit photos (TWO WEEKS’ worth of outfit posts) and despite my naturally goofy reactions to being in front of a camera, it felt so good to be creating content again. I had a serious creative content buzz and couldn’t fall asleep because I was so excited about the cocktails, outfits and recipes I have planned! Do you ever get like that?

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in, say hi 👋🏻 and  also touch base to see what kind of content you’d like to see on DC Girl. Career content, outfit posts of what I actually wear 9-5, DC neighborhood guides, how-tos…vlogs?! Email me, snap me, tweet me, comment! I’d love to hear from you 💕

You got it with the neighborhood guide! It’ll also be a good excuse for me to explore new spots in the city 🙂
