What.A.Weekend. It was one of those perfect DC summer weekends filled with friends, gabfests, Snapchat filters, beer gardens and tacos. One of those summer weekends where you’re having so much fun you almost forget you’re practically melting in the heat like a Popsicle. Probably the highlight of my weekend was Saturday night in Chinatown. Walking down the street when suddenly a street acrobat team creates a circle in the crowd. My friend and I decide to watch their crazy flips and moves for a bit when suddenly, I’m being pulled into the center along with a handful of other people to be a part of the show! They had us form a line and crouch over as one of the performers flipped OVER us!! It was exciting/terrifying at the same time and honestly felt a bit surreal. Probably one of the most fun moments of Summer 2016 to date. If we’re Snapchat friends, you saw the whole thing. If we’re not, we should be (Lauren_Anne2989!
Sunday was filled with a visit to Eastern Market, a very sweaty Platform class, salmon tacos and sipping a fresh watermelon mojito while watching OITNB. You guys, this season is SO good so far.
In sum, it was the perfect DC summer weekend. Who’s ready to conquer the week? 🙋
