Navy Stripes + Pink

I’m slowly but surely accepting it’s fall. I broke out my puffer vest last rainy weekend and I even picked up pumpkin pie spice cookie butter at Trader Joe’s. For whatever reason, my sweet tooth was obnoxious as all get out active last week but I had nothing sweet whatsoever on hand to get my fix. It was pretty touch ‘n go so I caved and picked up the pumpkin pie spice cookie butter in case of emergencies. And also I was going through the blog archives to categorize everything for the new navigation bar and rediscovered my Pumpkin Pie Spice Cookie Butter Magic Shell sundae. So that’s definitely happening soon.

I still haven’t fully turned over my fall wardrobe yet though. DC is still pretty warm (minus those rainy days) and I’m having a hard time parting with the bright colors of summer. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to pull out my favorite burgundy and camel sweaters…but I also really like hot pink. I mean, it is Wednesday, after all.

I’ve worn this outfit a few times to the office, you can’t really go wrong with mixing navy and hot pink together! When it comes to putting together work outfits, I’m a big fan of pairing classic staples, like a stripe pencil skirt and ivory blouse, with a color for a professional but not stuffy outfit.

Your outfit is adorable but I’ll be honest now all I can think about is pumpkin spice cookie butter! I should head to tj’s and get those and some waffles for an easy breakfast treat!

Thoughts on adding some pumpkin ice cream and making an ice cream waffle sundae…? (I’m an enabler)
