Happy Tuesday! How was your weekend?
This weekend felt like the first summer weekend. Meaning I rekindled my love/deep appreciation of AC and tried my best to not sweat aggressively glisten when I was outside. It was a tall order. On Sunday morning, I was already sweaty aggressively glistening just from walking to Flywheel at 10 in the morning. The 10:30 class with Matt was totally worth it, I definitely sweated out all the toxins before I headed to brunch with friends at Old Engine 12. Old Engine 12’s brunch buffet is where it’s at, guys. Bottomless mimosas, 14 hour brisket, mac ‘n cheese, crispy kale and build-your-own pork tacos. Need I say more?
I also dragged my summer clothes out from the space bags under my bed to swap out the heavy winter clothes for summer essentials. It was like reuniting with old friends and I can’t wait for a summer of friends, BBQs, pool days, nights out at U Street’s rooftops and all the adventures.
