Happy Tuesday! I’m actually writing this post on the plane back to DC from Arizona aka the Surface of the Sun where my family moved earlier this summer. Between their big cross-country move and my new job, Summer 2017 was a big one for my family all around.
This was my first time visiting the new homestead and at first, it was a little weird to see familiar furniture in a new space. Margaritas and delicious shrimp fajitas are a pretty surefire cure for this though. And of course, hanging out with my parents and Tommy. Tommy can now say the alphabet backwards and it was incredibly impressive and endlessly entertaining. Also decorating my new room helped.
When I was getting ready for my weekend trip out West, I per usual checked what the temps were going to be in Phoenix. Oh just a brisk 112 degrees. Casual.
I immediately reached for my Sailor Sailor Marina dress. I’ve posted before about my love for Sailor Sailor dresses (Like here and here). If you haven’t already, you need to get on board with their dresses! Their dresses are made of performance fabric aka it’ll wick sweat away. And for those of us who are prone to back sweat (Cute, I know), this is life-saving. I have the Yacht Club shift and Seaport shift styles but the Marina dress is my new favorite. It’s roomier than the other styles, which is perfect/critical when you’re indulging in margs and fajitas. And you have willpower issues when it comes to chips and salsa.
The good news is that Sailor Sailor is having their BIG sale right now! Many of their pieces, including this dress and my other Sailor Sailor shifts, are currently 50% off so I highly suggest you scoop up a Sailor Sailor dress. I mean, how cute is this pineapple print? When I head back West for Thanksgiving, you can bet these dresses will be the first pieces in my suitcase!
