Cyber Monday Deals + What I Bought on Black Friday

Cyber Monday Deals 2017 | @dcgirlinpearls

My toile queen size bedding is on sale for $75! Also available in 2 other colors.

If there ever was a day where I needed a caffeine IV, it’s today. A part of me wishes I was burrowed under my blankets right now but I’m back to work thanks to the magical power of venti chai. I flew back to DC from Phoenix late last night and face-planted into my pillow at 2 AM this morning.

My family’s first ever Thanksgiving in the desert was a success! We hung out in the new home in our food comas and watched a lot of football. We also celebrated my birthday a few days early with my very favorite apple pie and a shrimp fajitas + sangria-rita feast. Needless to say, I was a happy camper. Also note to self: Go to the gym.

Tommy and I hung out and he was extra cuddly, which is always a plus and completely adorable. My heart just about broke when he informed me I would be coming back to play on Wednesday. I wish!

My motivation for getting out of bed this morning (Besides you know, work, needing caffeine, achieving a sense of purpose in life and all) is Cyber Monday. Because I didn’t do enough damage on Black Friday ; )

I’ve rounded up my favorite Cyber Monday sales with codes below – there are some really awesome deals this year!

My mom and I did some serious shopping/stimulating the economy on Black Friday so scroll down to see what I bought on Black Friday! Most of the pieces are still available + on sale. Happy shopping!

What I Bought on Black Friday

Tuckernuck

Okay so “leather” leggings are a pretty wild step out of my usual wardrobe choices. I can pretty much hear my mom say “You?! Leather leggings?!” I’d seen “leather” leggings all over the place but when it came to considering hitting purchase on leather leggings, I couldn’t get the image of Ross Gellar trying to squeeze into those leather pants out of my head. You know the episode, right? But I’m about to turn 28 and in a late-20s panic so this was my move. I’ll report back on both the “leather” leggings and my late-20s panic.

I’ve already talked about how The Shirt is life-changing. The fear about the gap that inevitably happens when you wear a button-down? That’s a thing of the past with The Shirt. So yup, I had to pick up another one! And the hunter green gingham button down was calling my name.

J.Crew Factory

You know what’s great about Black Friday shopping in Arizona? Literally no one else is shopping for a winter coat. The city coat is normally $228 but for Black Friday and Cyber Monday it’s marked down to $98!!! This was probably my favorite deal of the weekend. The city coat runs TTS but I sized up to leave room for the sweater + winter layers. Bonus: There was no way I was going to be able to fit the coat (I went with the lilac) into my carry-on but thanks to J.Crew Factory, I was able to ship it to my apartment for free!

I can’t get enough of plaid – thanks to wearing plaid every day for 8 years of my life as a Catholic school survivor – and I couldn’t choose between the wool wrap skirt in black watch ($42.50) or the black plaid skirt ($37). So…I got both. The wool wrap skirt is so cute with its side bow. I already have plans to pair it with my navy sweater or fisherman sweater for holiday parties. If I’m not wearing the wool wrap skirt, you can find me in the black plaid skirt. Let’s be real, I already have plans to wear this to work on Friday.

Keeping the plaid party going, this plaid ruffle shirt ($32) made its way into my cart. I like the ruffle detail on this shirt and love how easily it can be dressed up or down. I’m thinking about pairing it with my “leather” leggings provided I don’t have a Ross Gellar-like incident as soon as I try them on.

I also picked up a Regent blazer in deep jade – guys, this was a serious steal. This J.Crew favorite is $45 (regularly $138) and it’s available in all sizes! I’ll be wearing this blazer all winter and well into spring.

TALBOTS

I love a good holiday shoe. Normally, I rely on my leopard pumps to get me through the holiday season. But when I saw these ankle-strap flats, it was love at first sight. I cannot wait to break these shoes out for the holidays! I’m thinking they’d be really cute with fun patterned tights. And if there’s one thing I love about holiday party style, it’s fun patterned tights! You can also wear these plaid (I know, I have a problem) ankle-strap flats to work all winter long.

Old Navy

Old Navy is my favorite store for workout clothes. Old Navy Active is on point in price and quality. I love their cropped pants for spin and barre classes! Their workout tops and bottoms also wash extremely well and several years later and a whole lot of sweating, they are still in perfect condition. No pilling, no fading, nothing. I picked up a few of their longer 7/8 length workout bottoms for the winter months for $16 each!!! Not to play favorites but I think the “Hustle” 7/8 length compression leggings are going to be my new favorite for work outs. There’s no better motivation to go work out than cute leggings! Also, gotta love a good motivational tank so this went right into my shopping cart for $8!! Seriously, go stock up now! For sizing, I am a medium in workout pants and a medium in tops but I like my workout tanks on the looser side so I usually size up. The 7/8 length is supposed to hit right above your ankle but I’m 5’2″ and they hit just below my ankle. I like this though for winter months.
